Obscure Object of Desire – Stevens Little Scout 14 1/2

Obscure Object of Desire – Stevens Little Scout 14 1/2

A long time ago, when I was a young man at the School of Infantry, an instructor told us we were apes. He talked about how, with female Marines, he could explain to them how to do something, and they could typically do it. He told us guys that, as apes, we had to learn in a more tactile manner. I don’t know if it’s true that all men learn better with the item in their hand, but I do.

Idaho: Momentum Continues For Three Pro-Gun Bills

Momentum Continues For Three Pro-Gun Bills

While legislators in some western states like Colorado and California continue to push more restrictions on lawful gun owners, Idaho lawmakers are soaring to the finish line with a number of pro-gun measures.

Fortunately for Idaho’s lawful gun owners, three such measures have been approved by the state legislature and sent to Republican Gov. Brad Little for consideration, while another remains in a Senate committee.

Senate Bill 1374 seeks to ensure that lawful Idahoans can carry firearms on public property during some special events and has been sent to the governor.

Gear Review – Mantis Laser Academy

Gear Review – Mantis Laser Academy

The ratio of keeping your skills sharp to the amount of money you have to spend on ammo is one that’s spiraling out of control. I miss the days of 9mm running for 8.99 a box. Sadly, I don’t think those prices will ever come back. Lots of dry fire is the new normal, but dry fire can be a rather dull affair. The good news is that technology has stepped in to make dry fire a bit more entertaining.

New Lott Study: AI Chatbots Lean Left On Gun Control

AI Chatbots Lean Left On Gun Control

If you were worried that the left-leaning nature of Artificial Intelligence chatbots would push it to the anti-gun side of the firearms debate, you were correct.

A recent study by John Lott, president of the Crime Prevention Research Center, showed that AI has an overwhelmingly leftwing bias concerning guns, gun control and crime.

According to his commentary posted on Friday at realclearpolitics.com, Lott asked 20 chatbots whether they strongly disagree, disagree, are undecided/neutral, agree or strongly agree with nine questions on crime and seven on gun control.

Biden Takes a Victory Lap, But Does That Victory Belong to the 2A Crowd?

With 29 states now making permitless carry available for those citizens who wish to practice their Second Amendment rights by carrying open or concealed—Louisiana and South Carolina the most recent two to sign such legislation into law—and courts every week striking down draconian gun laws as unconstitutional, and honestly, as the country slowly emerges from the societal disruption the pandemic caused on a global scale, crime rates, do appear to be slowly dropping on many fronts across the country.

ATF SWAT raid in Arkansas Raises Questions About Excessive Force

Bryan Malinowski, the 53-year-old executive director of the Clinton National Airport in Little Rock, Arkansas, died two days after exchanging gunfire with ATF agents who raided his home at 6 a.m. Tuesday morning. His death raises questions about whether he knew he was trading gunfire with federal agents, or if he thought their no-knock raid was a home invasion.

Malinowski’s family cannot understand what led to the gunfight and believes other less-lethal tactics should have been incorporated into ATF’s arrest strategy.

Chicago Sues Glock for Felony Misuse of Its Pistols

Chicago Sues Glock for Felony Misuse of Its Pistols

Glock has been selling reliable, accurate, basically bomb-proof polymer-framed, striker-fired pistols in the United States for over 30 years. In fact, they’ve sold so many of them that you’d be hard pressed to go to a pistol range in a free state and not see at least a handful in use.

That fact, however, hasn’t stopped anti-gun advocates from hating the Glock. And the most dangerous city in the country put that hatred to good use last week by suing the handgun company because criminals have figured out how to convert the semi-auto pistols to fire full auto.
